Law Enforcement Analytics

For law enforcement professionals, information is critical to fighting crime. Yet, most law enforcement agencies are awash in data from multiple siloed systems that are difficult to integrate. They are, in effect, data rich – but information poor. For law enforcement professionals to do their jobs, they need intelligent, timely, and complete analysis of data from many sources – including criminal histories, incident reports, crime tips, and 911 calls as well as applications such as CAD, RMS, and JMS.

Information Builders has a number of product offerings that help law enforcement agencies perform their jobs more effectively, allowing them to integrate disparate systems and synthesize data from a wide variety of applications. This initiative, called intelligence-led policing, has dramatically reduced crime in departments that have integrated it into their operations.

Law Enforcement Analyst Suite

Information Builders has assembled a customizable off-the-shelf (COTS) software solution to assist law enforcement and public safety agencies access, analyze, and understand their data. The package, called the Law Enforcement Analyst (LEA) Suite, is a CompStat-like solution that includes Web-based key performance indicators (KPIs), management dashboards, interactive-mapping capabilities, predictive analytics, and data mining to spot subtle trends and predict future outcomes.

The Law Enforcement Analyst Suite is based upon a service-oriented architecture (SOA) and the Justice Information Exchange Model (JIEM). Through our iWay adapter technology, CAD, RMS, JMS, and incident-management and criminal-history repositories, data can be securely shared internally within public safety and law enforcement organizations, and externally with other criminal justice agencies.

Integrated Justice Suite

Law enforcement, public safety, courts, corrections, probations, parole, DAs and public defenders, and even agencies like the DMV, Labor, Business Licensing, and Human and Social Services are involved in criminal justice integration systems and projects (CJIS). Information Builders Integrated Justice Suite helps federal, state, and local agencies harness their information assets to fight crime, deter criminal activity, and administer justice more efficiently.

Information Builders Integrated Justice Suite of tools makes it faster, easier, cheaper, and less risky to integrate justice systems, analyze information, and distribute it electronically within a secure framework. Our Integrated Justice Suite is a standards-based set of tools that enable easy – and secure – access to data with our JIEM compatible Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM) Adapter. Criminal Justice Information can be pushed, pulled, published, subscribed to and queried by all members of the justice community. This information can be visually analyzed, graphed, mapped, and disseminated electronically. The Integrated Justice Suite enables users to securely access, integrate, and share criminal justice data from multiple legacy systems within an SOA architecture.

With WebFOCUS Magnify, your crime analysts and investigators have a tool to search across your criminal justice information systems, without having to know exactly where the information exists. WebFOCUS Magnify consolidates structured and unstructured data references into the universally recognized and easy-to-use Google Search paradigm. By enabling users to easily locate key facts through simple keyword searches, law enforcement organizations realize significant productivity gains.

When you search a keyword with WebFOCUS Magnify, indexed content is rapidly scanned to create Google-style results drawn from all data sources across the enterprise. From the search page, you can follow links to execute reports and access information in the format of your choice, including Excel, Adobe PDF, HTML, or XML.
